Yachad is a left-wing British Jewish organization that claims to empower British Jews to support a political resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Its members describe themselves as “pro-Israel, pro-peace”. Yachad argues that the “Israeli occupation” denies millions of Palestinians their basic civil and political rights. The group presents a simplistic account of the Arab-Israeli conflict that ignores Palestinian rejectionism, and terrorism, and often calls for ceasefires between Israel and Gaza.
PalSocs are student organisations that vary in size and activity. They are often connected to regional affiliates of the Palestinian Solidarity Campaign (PSC). These student groups support acts of violence and terror towards Israelis, Zionists, and Jewish students. They purport the narrative that Israel is an “occupier” and that Palestinian rights are suffering. They support the BDS movement, are combative to any form of neutral or middle ground when it comes to the conflict, and host anti-Zionist/antisemitic speakers on campus.
The Balfour Project claims to promote peace between Israelis and Palestinians. In reality, it promotes a revised historical narrative that depicts the State of Israel as merely a product of British colonialism.
