Na'amod

Na’amod is a left-wing organisation of anti-Zionist “token” British Jews that seek to end Israel’s “occupation” of Palestine. Under the guise of trying to mobilise support for the justice of Palestinians, they have often hosted and worked with known antisemites and Holocaust deniers. Na’amod supports BDS and has campaigned against Tzipi Hotovely’s appointment as Israeli ambassador to the United Kingdom, the Israeli bombing of Gaza in 2021, and the evictions in Sheikh Jarrah in East Jerusalem — without offering wider nuance or accurate information about these circumstances. Wider British Jewish organisations often dismiss Na’amod for being a “fringe” group.

Yachad

Yachad is a left-wing British Jewish organization that claims to empower British Jews to support a political resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Its members describe themselves as “pro-Israel, pro-peace”. Yachad argues that the “Israeli occupation” denies millions of Palestinians their basic civil and political rights. The group presents a simplistic account of the Arab-Israeli conflict that ignores Palestinian rejectionism, and terrorism, and often calls for ceasefires between Israel and Gaza.

Palestinian Societies (PalSocs)

PalSocs are student organisations that vary in size and activity. They are often connected to regional affiliates of the Palestinian Solidarity Campaign (PSC). These student groups support acts of violence and terror towards Israelis, Zionists, and Jewish students. They purport the narrative that Israel is an “occupier” and that Palestinian rights are suffering. They support the BDS movement, are combative to any form of neutral or middle ground when it comes to the conflict, and host anti-Zionist/antisemitic speakers on campus.

The Balfour Project

The Balfour Project claims to promote peace between Israelis and Palestinians. In reality, it promotes a revised historical narrative that depicts the State of Israel as merely a product of British colonialism.
