Samidoun
Samidoun, masquerading as a Palestinian prisoner advocacy group, is a dangerous organization with deep ties to terrorism. In October 2024, both the United States and Canada took decisive action by designating Samidoun as a terrorist entity, recognizing its true nature as a front for the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), a terrorist organization.
This designation exposes Samidoun’s deceptive facade as a “sham charity” that serves as an international fundraising arm for the PFLP. The group’s leadership includes known extremists with direct links to terrorist activities. Samidoun head Khaled Barakat is a senior PFLP member involved in establishing militant cells and motivating terrorist activity. His spouse, Charlotte Kates, another prominent Samidoun leader, has openly praised PFLP terrorists.
Samidoun’s actions go beyond mere advocacy, actively undermining peace efforts and promoting violence. The organization has consistently supported convicted terrorists, praised the October 7, 2023 attacks on Israeli civilians, and called for the end of the “Zionist project”.
