Rising to fame in May 2021, El-Kurd reported on the Israel/Hamas war and the civil dispute in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood of Jerusalem, which he characterized as Israeli “ethnic cleansing” of Palestinians.
In a May 2022 webinar, El-Kurd described Israelis as “thirsty for blood” right after justifying the bombings of Israeli civilians. He made similar remarks about Zionists being “bloodthirsty.” This is an antisemitic blood libel. In May 2021, El-Kurd absurdly accused Jews praying at the Western Wall of an insidious plot to take over the Al-Aqsa mosque.
